What is the Emergency Dental Scheme (EDS)?
The Emergency Dental Scheme is designed for urgent dental treatments, such as a broken tooth. To find out if you're eligible, contact your local SA Dental clinic.
If you have an EDS form
If you're issued an EDS form, it is valid for 7 days.
At your appointment
You must present your valid EDS form at your appointment, along with a current Pensioner Concession Card (PCC) or Health Care Card (HCC). Please check the date on your card to ensure it is valid. Bring your card with you on the day of your appointment to receive treatment under the EDS form.
A standard fee will apply and is due on the day of your treatment. The fee may be listed on your form. For further information, please call our friendly staff at (08) 8268 5422.
My EDS Form has expired
If you present your form outside the allocated date on your EDS form, treatment cannot be provided, and you will need to return to the issuing SA Dental clinic.
